Skilled Loctician, Sole Creator, And CEO of Tynee’s Loc Love

It all began in 2014, a year and a half after her “big chop”, Tynee was in search of hair products that were safe and nontoxic for her and her 2 years old daughter’s head. She assumed that it must have been the harsh chemicals in the store-bought products she owned that were the cause of her natural curls and kinks feeling weighed down. These products would also leave a filmy residue on her hair. Yuck! And the brand she used on her daughter’s head seemed to had taken her hair out quicker than it could grow in! That’s when she began to do some research.

Over the next couple of years, after thorough research, Tynee managed to produce recipes for what she now calls Coconut & Avocado Hair Moisturizer, Hair & Scalp Oil, Tea Tree & Olive Oil Shampoo, Coconut & Shea Moisturizing Conditioner, and Loc Balm. These hair products, with their all natural ingredients, thickened and grew Tynee and her daughter’s hairs quicker than any other products she had ever used! Defining their natural curl patterns and giving their hair a healthy and strong, and voluminous look.

After maintaining and starting others’ locs for about 8 years, in December 2016, Tynee had finally made the decision to lock her own free-flowing kinks; but she had came across a small problem. She had not yet created any products specifically made to start and maintain locs. So, she decided to use what was the most popular brand for locs at that time. Bad mistake! These products contained chemicals and compounds in them that Tynee’s hair had not encountered in a long time! She was very disappointed with her first set of locs. They were so stiff and within the first couple of weeks they had accumulated so much build-up! Gross!

By week 3 she had given up on her hair and decided to comb the locs out. But, her hair was now damaged and broken due to the products she had used. So… she “big chopped” AGAIN! Then she got back on the internet and discovered some other natural ingredients that would aid in locking the hair. With this newly found information plus what knowledge she already had about natural ingredients for hair products, Tynee had formulated what is now known as Tynee’s Loc Love Shea & Aloe Vera Loc’ing Cream.

On February 25, 2017 she tried the locking process again. But this time, she had fallen in love with her healthy and shiny locs. As a loctician, she was very impressed with the results. So much that she asked her own clientele for their permission to use the Loc’ing Cream on their locs as well and they too, fell in love with the results over time.

Over the past few years, Tynee continued to create and test out new products. During this time she was constantly encouraged by her close friends, family members, clientele, and even strangers to sell her products.

By December 2019 she had made the definite decision that “The world needed to know about Tynee’s Loc Love.”
